🍝 Pork Meatballs

Ingredients
- 0.5 kg Ground pork
- 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 pc Egg
- 1 pc Small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Pepper
- 3 tbsp Cooking oil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Button mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup Evaporated milk or fresh cream
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into 1.5-inch meatballs.
- Heat oil in a pan and pan-fry the meatballs in batches until browned on all sides (they don't need to be fully cooked through yet). Set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until softened.
- Sprinkle in the flour and stir constantly for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the broth, stirring to avoid lumps, and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in evaporated milk and soy sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
- Return the meatballs to the pan and simmer in the gravy for 15-20 minutes until meatballs are cooked through and sauce has thickened.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or mashed potatoes.
