About Free Meal Planner PH
Free Meal Planner PH is a free tool for browsing Filipino ulam recipes, getting a random dish suggestion, generating a budget- and calorie-aware weekly meal plan, and building a grocery list from that plan. Recipe and ingredient data is maintained by the site and served from a database, nothing here is scraped from other sites.

Our approach
Every recipe in the database is entered and maintained by hand by the Free Meal Planner PH team, not scraped or pulled from another site. Each dish's ingredient list, instructions, cost estimate, and cook time are stored individually, along with per-ingredient data (typical Philippine market cost, shelf life once bought, and calories) that the whole app, and the Guides section, draws from.
Allergen and health-condition tags (diabetic-friendly, low-sodium, low-cholesterol, low-purine) are curated per ingredient based on the raw food itself, for example plain chicken is tagged low-sodium because unseasoned chicken naturally is. A finished dish can end up untagged for the same condition once salt, oil, or sugar are added in cooking, the two tag sets are intentionally kept independent. These tags are a general reference, not medical advice; anyone managing a diagnosed condition should confirm with a doctor or dietitian.
The Guides section is written and maintained by the same team, drawing on the site's own recipe and ingredient data wherever a number is cited, plus general, widely documented Filipino cooking knowledge for cultural and technique-focused pieces. New guides are added over time rather than all at once.
Questions, corrections, or feedback about a recipe or ingredient entry are welcome. Use the Contact Us form.
