Ingredients
- 1 kg Pork intestines, thoroughly cleaned
- 1 pc Onion, quartered
- 4 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 2 pc Bay leaves
- 1 tbsp Whole peppercorns
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 0.25 cup Vinegar (for cleaning)
- 0.5 cup Soy sauce (for basting)
- 0.25 cup Banana ketchup (for basting)
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar (for basting)
Instructions
- Clean the pork intestines thoroughly, turning them inside out and washing with vinegar and water multiple times until odor-free.
- In a large pot, boil the cleaned intestines with onion, garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns, and salt for 45-60 minutes until tender.
- Drain and let cool slightly, then coil the intestines onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, banana ketchup, and brown sugar to make the basting sauce.
- Grill the skewers over medium-hot charcoal, basting frequently with the sauce, for 8-10 minutes until slightly charred and glazed.
- Serve hot with a vinegar-chili dipping sauce.
