🍖 Pork Ribs

Ingredients
- 1.2 kg Pork ribs, cut into racks or individual pieces
- 1 pc Onion, quartered
- 3 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 1 pc Bay leaf
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade: ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic)
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Calamansi juice
Instructions
- Parboil the pork ribs in water with onion, garlic, bay leaf, and salt for 30-40 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool.
- In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, honey, and calamansi juice.
- Marinate the parboiled ribs in the barbecue sauce mixture for at least 30 minutes, reserving extra sauce for basting.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Grill the ribs, turning and basting frequently with the reserved sauce, for 15-20 minutes until nicely charred and glazed.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting into individual ribs.
- Serve hot with extra barbecue sauce on the side and steamed rice.
