Ingredients
- 2 tbsp 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 4 clove 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pc 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 pc 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 150 g 150g ground pork or 150g shrimp, peeled and chopped
- 2 pc 2 medium patola (sponge gourd), peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp 2 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
- 2 pc 2 large eggs, beaten
- 3 pinch salt and pepper to taste
- 0.5 tsp Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic, onion, and tomatoes until softened and fragrant.
- Add the ground pork and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. If using shrimp, add after pork is nearly cooked, and cook until pink.
- Season with fish sauce and stir to combine.
- Add the sliced patola and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in water, cover, and simmer for 4-5 minutes until patola is tender and releases its natural juices.
- Push the vegetables to one side, pour in the beaten eggs, and let set slightly before scrambling and mixing everything together.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
