Ingredients
- 6 pc 6 pieces hotdog, sliced diagonally
- 2 tbsp 2 tbsp butter
- 1 pc 1 small onion, sliced into rings
- 3 clove 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup 1 cup shredded cabbage, for the bed (optional)
- 0.25 cup 1/4 cup julienned carrots (optional)
- 2 tbsp 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp 1 tsp sugar
- 0.25 tsp 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 pc 2 eggs, fried sunny-side up, for topping (optional)
- 1 stalk Chopped spring onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the hotdogs diagonally into thin ovals, or leave whole and score them if you prefer the classic look.
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Saute garlic until golden and fragrant.
- Add onion and cook until softened and slightly caramelized.
- Add the sliced hotdogs and pan-fry, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned and heated through, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in oyster sauce, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and pepper. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the hotdogs.
- Meanwhile, fry the eggs sunny-side up in a separate pan, if using.
- If serving on a sizzling plate, heat the plate until very hot, then arrange a bed of shredded cabbage and carrots on it.
- Pour the sizzling hotdogs and sauce over the cabbage bed. Top with the fried eggs if using, garnish with chopped spring onions, and serve immediately while sizzling, with steamed rice.
